Benjamin Lacombe, a French illustrator born in 1982, is recognised as one of the leading figures in contemporary illustration. Trained in Paris, he has developed a unique style that combines Gothic influences, cinematic influences such as those of Tim Burton, and the meticulous attention to detail of the Flemish masters of the 15th century.

His works have been published by leading international publishers, exhibited in museums and galleries, and translated in more than forty countries.
